Jordan Shuff

Jordan Shuff is the co-founder of Visilant and an Abell Fellow at Johns Hopkins University Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design. Jordan graduated from University of Delaware with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering.

Mary Hoopes

Mary is a master's student at Johns Hopkins University studying bioengineering, innovation, and design. Mary received her B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from University of Michigan. She also has previous experience with medical devices and device design and is passionate about solving global health problems.

Niam Mohseni

Niam received his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of California, Irvine. He also has previous experience with medical devices through two internships at MicroVention-Terumo, a global leader in neurovascular devices.

Kelsey Detels

Kelsey is a Master's student at Johns Hopkins. She received her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Tufts University. She is passionate about product design and development, particularly for global health. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys running, reading, and spending time outdoors.

Our Mentor

Dr. Kunal Parikh is a faculty member in the Center for Nanomedicine at the Wilmer Eye Institute and Center for Bioengineering Innovation & Design in the Biomedical Engineering Department at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHU) where he leads a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and clinicians working to develop biomedical solutions for significant and unmet clinical needs, with a particular focus in ophthalmology.
