Our First Eye Camp

On Sunday, our team traveled to a rural area to observe and conduct our first eye camp. Patients who were screened door-to-door using the Visilant app and imaging device the week prior were referred and instructed to come to this camp for diagnosis. At the camp, patients went through registration, a visual acuity exam, met with an ophthalmologist, received refraction screening, and were provided glasses and counseling as needed. We were also able to gather more data for our imaging device.

The most amazing finding from this eye camp was that although only those screened with our platform were supposed to come, over 100 additional patients attended the camp. This means that through word of mouth from our screening, we were able to provide care for 100 additional patients.
